Sehrish Rauf: Inspiring Story

Sehrish is a resident of a remote rural location Chak 118NB Sillanwali. An orphan (her father passed away a few years back), she is an outstanding student. Despite rural educational facilities, she scored over 80% marks in both her Board exams. Aspiring to be a doctor she was faced with serious financial and social limitations due to her father’s passing away. She did not give up and used her meagre resources to recalibrate her ambitions and got admission in BS Zoology in Sargodha University. She completed two semesters on her own and again faced with financial handicaps was finding it difficult to continue despite a high GPA of 3.78. Al Mujtaba Trust took her under its wings and she now has assured financial support which will enable her to complete her studies. She now plans to compete for entrance into the Civil Services of Pakistan. We are proud of her never say die attitude and hard work against odds. While assuring her our continued support we wish her well in her studies.
